The VL175 Swivel Head Lathe has a 1.1KW (1.5 HP) 220V single phase electronic variable unit with a 14 inches swing and a 39 inches between centers. The vector drive gives up to 200% of torque at low rpm and the 1.1 KW (1.5 HP) European motor gives plenty of power. The 2 steps pulleys provide ratios of 1:1 for small work and 1:3 for large work. So the speed is infinitely variable from 20-2000 and 30-3000 rpm.

The base has a provision for using an Outboard Turning Attachment. (See item 200503).

The swivel head rests on a large cast iron platform with two pinned positions at 90 and 45 degrees.
