The VL300 Series EVS Lathe has been improved to allow for an adjustment in height from 42 inches to 54 inches, height from the floor to the center of the headstock spindle.
This lathe has been designed to suit most professional wood turners. The vector drive gives up to 200% of torque at low rpm and the 2.2 kw (3hp) European motor gives plenty of power. The 3 steps pulley provides ratios of 1:1 for small work; 1:2 for medium work; and 1:3 for large work.
The cast iron lathe is mounted on a 5mm thick steel plate stand with a 27.5 inch foot print combining great stability and minimum interference with the turner. A wood shaving discharge prevents accumulation between the ways. A stop bar knee operated adds an extra control very useful for delicate operations when you need to stop the lathe without moving your tool.
