Requires a Stuart Batty Taper-Lock Handle, sold separately.

Designed for a technique used since the 1500s for turning ivory and dense exotics, the new family of negative rake scrapers are the first commercial tool produced by Stuart Batty. Sold with SB Tool's signature grey iron bolster, they are perfectly compatible with the Taper-Lock Handle System, and they complete Stuart Batty's revolutionary woodturning product line. The negative rake scrapers work exceptionally well down the sidewall of a vessel. The negative rake scraper can work the whole inside surface down to a very thin wall. However, due to the fact that these scrapers can cut past center, we recommend using the deep bowl conventional scraper for bottom 1/3 of the bowl. Enjoy unmatched control and vibration dampening. There are 4 types of these negative rake scrapers, in a variety of widths.

All of Stuart Batty's Negative Rake Scrapers come with one replaceable, double-ended blade. The skewed blades have a slight radius edge making it easier to traverse long cuts. It can be used on either side up.
