CBN wheels cut efficiently, so very little pressure is needed, removing a minimum of steel to get a sharp edge. This means your tools will last longer.

All wheels are checked on precision balancing equipment.

Speed to use: best speed between 1700 rpm up to maximun 3000rpm. We recommend to use at a low speed. 

Bore: They are bored 32mm but they are fitted with a 5/8 bushing, if you need a 3/4 we can change out the bushing for you.

Application: CBN wheels are suitable for all woodworking tools made of high speed steel(HSS). They provide excellent stock removal as well as generatiing less heat in comparison with aluminum oxide wheels. Few sparks are generated and the wheel stays flat. Your tool will have a high quality cutting edge.

CBN tools are characterized by low dust generation due to their wear-resistant coating. The main characteristic of plated tools is the monolayer coating with CNB grits The wheels consist of a metal body which is coated in a plated process with a layer of CBN grain. Plated wheels never change size or shape. The tool geometry of plated tools is retained because of the monolayer coating. This eliminates time-consuming profiling. Produces no dust since it never needs truing or dressing.

Do not use it on other materials but on only HSS

Important: Do not use a lot of pressure, just a little backup pressure for the weight of the tool. Too high pressure generates excessive heat and may be harmful for the wheel. CBN has an extremely good conductivity for temperature, so the heat generated is dispersed quickly. CBN grinding grains are as hard as diamond grains and will do the work for you without any effort and in a very short time.
